I spent a day trying different stack designs on top of a palette, referencing that stacks are often built on palettes. I wanted to work out if I needed more than the 30 I’ve already made.

The palette helped me stack off the concrete floor, I used museum putty to anchor key pieces as there was a danger of all the peat slices falling and breaking.

In the end I decided I needed another 20 to make a decent stack. I wasn’t happy with any of the stacks. I was happy with the herringbone pattern but needed more slices to make a decent stack.
