The wall surrounding the immediate museum grounds is a dry stone wall: I had a look on the website of the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain (http://www.dswa.org.uk/about-the-dswa.asp) accessed 19/01/18, to see if there was any vernacular terms in the south-west, but there were none mentioned here. I will research this.

The regional variation in the style of build is interesting, the shape of the cut stone. It is a higher than usual dry stone wall, the middle course is solid allowing for the height to be supported. Remanent of church yard walls.

The green moss from the overhanging foliage has coloured the stone underneath.
