Featured image photo taken by myself, 8/12/17, City Ceramics Studios, showing my new blender blending bisque fired slate particles.

The slate samples have been washed, air dried and sieved. As an initial test I’ve put some small sized slate rubble in a bisque firing.

Images above, after bisque firing.

I wrapped it up in a cloth and smashed it with a hammer to loosen and break the particles, then put it in the blender.

I sieved this and collected dust and larger small particles that I separated.  I added water to the dust to make a glaze like paste and will add the particles to clay.
